Drew Mullholland (Mount Vernon Arts Lab) is currently following up his 2014 album The Norwood Variations with a new work, A Spectre Over Albion. Mullholland told us that:
The idea is to record the EM field surrounding man made structures in the landscape from different eras (WW2 Decoy Post, Bronze Age cairn and Neolithic Burial Chamber) listen to the differences between them and use the initial tapes to construct tracks based on layering the sounds from each site and manipulating them to suggest the emotion generated by each location.
The album is currently in progress and a release is expected for Halloween.
